Anyone else lost their pink a bit?

I'm not sure if anyone knows this but when flamingos have a baby they lose their pink because they put so much of their energy into the baby and stop eating. It takes nearly 2 years for their colour to come back. When I found this out my head popped a little but because I had lost my pink having my first baby. Had no clue who I was. My life had changed as people had warned but I didn't realise how much. I decided to make a podcast looking at reasons we lose our pink as parents. This was in the hope I could find mine again and help other people to find theirs. I'm looking for more inspiration of topics from people in the thick of it. Things that no one told you about when you became a parent that you're realising now! Ive always been really career driven but becoming a mum has really shifted my focus and it threw me as to how much it has. I've been back to work full time for about 4 months now and I'm 16 months into being a new mum and 3 year into being a step mum and I think my pink is starting to come back again. If you want to listen to it too it's called "Even Flamingos lose their pink" and can be found on Amazon, Spotify and apple

I am all white now 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Tanvi I did a pink scale on 1-10, 1 was the palest. Called that one "new flamingo parent" 🤣 10 is flamingo in a flock of pigeons

I think two years is roughly how long it’s taken me to find myself again after both of mine too

@Grace 🤣🤣🤣 I am thinking of myself as a crow then 🤣🤣🤣

@Gaby me too after ages I had a hair cut this month 🤣🤣

@Tanvi I don’t even remember the last haircut I had 😭

Omg yes! I was definitely bright white for more than 2 years because my first child has severe food allergies. That journey took every ounce of energy out of me. I've turned it into a positive though! I've helped families around the world with their eczema and allergies, written three books on food allergies and am working towards a PhD in the field. I wouldn't say I'm flamingo pink yet but I'm getting there. I even get regular haircuts now 😅
