Hotel

Hello, We live in the springs (1st year here) but my husband works in Denver. The commute has been TEDIOUS. I was hoping to come up with a solution to help my husband once winter comes. Does anyone here work in a hotel and willing to share their employee benefits or have a spare room in the DU area? Obviously we cannot afford the nightly rates of hotels in Denver but willingly to pay nonetheless per night. It will only be on the days that there’s a snow storm or the weather is so bad that he can’t come home. Please 🙏 Just trying to plan ahead.

I have worked in the hotel industry for just shy of 20 years. Currently work at great wolf lodge in the springs but prior was all Hilton. Hilton unfortunately caps the amount of friends and family or employee reservations each year so it may be tough to find someone willing to do so since it takes away from their stay credits. You may be able to look into creating a seasonal rate with a smaller select service hotel (Hampton inn, residence inn, etc) but the rates would still be around $60-100 a night. Air bnb in my opinion would be the most cost effective if you do a weekly rate and just rent someone’s room, not the whole house.

My dad is in a similar position and has been able to find some cheaper ($80-100) airbnbs. Generally a spare room in someone's house
