We LOVED Berkeley so much and I’m actually so sad about not living there anymore.

I’ve lived in Berkeley since 2019 and I’m happy here. It gets a little better every year; new developments keep arising to make it more fun and new, while old buildings and businesses are slowly but surely getting replaced (I’m sure that’s largely due to gentrification but let’s be honest, it is making things much better than they were). There is still some crime to be careful of; my and my neighbors’ cars have been broken into multiple times over the years. We hear gunshots nearby on occasion (like 1-2x/year) but it never seems to become a real dramatic situation. Overall I feel safe, partially thanks to my Ring camera and two dogs but even without them I wouldn’t worry too much
I love living in this area! Have been living in Berkeley since 2019 and it has been great! It has gotten even better overtime, too! New restaurants and development - walk to parks and library etc!
