Maybe it’s more to do with the boundaries set. When you say overly familiar, do you mean too comfortable? What’s the picture you imagine when having a nanny in your home. Do you want them to make themselves at home?
@Allison two have been disrespectful. One just became increasingly demanding about hours and pay advances, as an example. It’s hard for me to find someone good on care —- like, some pretend to be professional nannies but in actuality have limited experience. Can I ask how much you pay in what area?
@Monét too comfortable/eventually rude. I want them to be comfortable but not to the point of leaving unwashed dishes out, becoming demanding about pay advances, and just yeah overall unprofessional. Do you have a good person you’ve found?
We pay $23/hr, we also buy her lunch. Shes here t-th 8:00-4. Hours were agreed upon beforehand. We checked references and background check beforehand as well.
@Allison can I ask around where you live? I live in Southern California and I had one, was paying her $24/hr and she kinda became a nightmare. I’d be curious to see your ad text if possible?
I’m in Dallas Tx
We do a nanny share with one of my good friends and we pay a very competitive wage. We’ve also had good experience with .care.com. How many people have you tried what are they doing to be disrespectful?
