My only aversion is red meat and I loved red meat before my pregnancy. My MIL makes mince a lot as well and it’s just frustrating that the thought of it makes me sick
My specific aversions drifted into the background around 12-13 weeks but I have zero appetite (especially with strong flavoured things) unless it’s a craving now which is usually something with absolutely no nutritional value 😑
Yes, it’s really miserable. My aversions and nausea have definitely gotten a lot better but no where near back to normal. Last week I was back to feeling nauseous after eating again. Some foods still knock me absolutely sick. I’ve found that I kind of have to force myself to try things again then usually when I try them it’s fine. Never had this with my first pregnancy. First one was a boy and this time it’s a girl so wondering if that’s the difference?
@Ellie indeed it is definitely miserable. Both mine have been boys and had this both times. I actually read that there was some research suggesting that food aversions are more likely with boy pregnancies so that’s interesting you are having it with a girl this time.
I struggled hugely with this in first tri but it went away with my sickness at around 17 weeks (i’m now 21 weeks). Sadly no advice really except i just ate what i wanted, i wasn’t healthy but anything i fancied i just ate to ensure i was eating. I still struggle to drink water though and only manage about 500-600ml a day. Just to say i feel for you and hope it passes soon, it’s the worst and i definitely found that the worst part of pregnancy so far.
