I was 37+6 when my daughter turned 8. I was induced 2 days later and gave birth a day after that, so there are 3 days between my daughter's birthdays. I had balloons and a banner and her presents in the living room. We had her choice of take away and she had her cake. She was more than happy with that. The bonus you have, is your little one won't remember this birthday. He will be happy with his presents, balloons and came, I'm sure.
yes! i'm due on the 2nd october, my daughter's birthday is the 5th. i'm planning on baking a cake for my daughter and doing presents etc, and then a few weeks later, when baby is here and i'm feeling a bit more recovered and settled, we'll go out somewhere nice like the zoo xx
@Maria I thought about that, but our local soft play place only offers the party package during the week and I don't think many people would be able to make it. But it's such a good idea and hassle free too!
@Kira Oh that sounds like a lovely little celebration ❤️ I had not thought about the decorations, I will look into getting some now ☺️ And it's true they won't remember, I think I'm worrying so much about the birthday because of the mum guilt I have thinking I won't be able to give him that much 1:1 time once baby's here!
@keisha That's actually a lovely idea, I had not thought about postponing the nice day out after birth once I felt better and we've settled down a bit! I might start looking into some options for later this year, thanks
@Maria no worries! when i told my sister in law the plan, she mentioned that it'd be a nice thing for my first born to have her first proper little day out with her sibling be to celebrate her birthday, which i definitely agree with!
I will be 35 weeks when my son turns 2 I am thinking of booking a soft play for 2 hours they offer food and stuff as a package and thats it 🙄 I just can’t be asked 😆
