Personally 1 is quite young, she can't communicate with you about how her day went and if there was something that happened that she didn't like. Unless you have to due to work responsibilities, I'd say keep her with you as long as possible x Also age 1 is when they really feel the attachment with mama and need them more during the day, it gets better after 2 x

Try a preschool /nursery private. Every 1 year old is different they may talk faster that others. It will help your little one and you and will give you a little time to your self if you don't have much help. You need to look after you aswell.

Highly recommend little garden in Brentford very good

@Rohini thank you. Yes i have s 14 month old and a 4 weeks old. My 4 week old is a velcro baby and is requiring alot of attention and I have major mum guilt that i cannot give my eldest the same attention i was once giving to her before baby.

@Marzie thank you I will look into it

We put my son into nursery in Brentford when he was 10 months and it was the best things for him! He learnt so much there and continues to learn so much. They are so caring and love him so much, he runs into nursery now (he’s nearly 2) and says new words daily. For those who think 1 is too young, I’m sorry I disagree, every family is different, you need to do what’s best for you. I personally needed to go back to work for myself and financially and I’m going to be doing the same timing with my 2nd. No regrets! The only thing I would say is at 1 they go through major separation anxiety so do find you leaving them tough so either do it before 1 or just after… or do it now and just brace yourself for a week or so of tears at drop off but trust me, it’s worth it! 😊

We had a really lovely experience with Bright Horizons in Hounslow. The staff are lovely and my one went from a similar age until just recently when she went off to school. It was really hard saying goodbye as we all became very close. It’s really hard because our babies are our world and you don’t know who to trust and it’s very difficult deciding what’s best or what to do. I have another little one now and would feel super comfortable leaving him with the bright horizons team at this age. I hope you manage to find the right thing for you guys and all the best.

@Tamsin thank you!!! This gives me some hope. Can you tell me what nursery in Brentford your child went to

@Sophie yes I have read decent reviews about bright horizons. It is just tough call really and I am really struggling with guilt putting her in nursery but I feel it is time also

Totally understand!! It’s awful on the parents and comes with a lot of anxiety. We introduced her slowly with a couple of half days which you could try first, until whatever you feel comfortable with. Ours loved going and would run in and learnt so much- she would be there really long ours some days too due to work commitments and I would feel awful but had to be done and looking back, wouldn’t have changed anything! You do you! Good luck! 😊

Sure, it’s called ‘Katey’s nursery’ - cannot recommend them enough 🙂good luck with it all x
