@Julie this is what I find so strange he talks sooo much and has done from a young age, has full on conversations, knows colour animals etc I don’t get it? Its just numbers
They all have their strengths and weaknesses. My son can count to 20 but can’t correctly name a single colour no matter how much we practice 🤦♀️ everyone’s different and it’ll come in time. Try not to worry 😊
My daughter can if you don’t ask her to do it on the spot. I’ve overheard her countless times counting to 12 but if I ask her she gets all muddled x
Mine can say the numbers to 20 and count items to 10 confidently. She loves watching numberblocks. She loves the songs and it helps to develop a good understanding of number alongside mathematical skills. I wouldn’t be concerned about it though - they’re still small. Perhaps see if he likes numberblocks.
My son misses number 7 but he can identify all his numbers. Same as saying the abc’s he misses a few letters but again can identify the letters. Also he can say all the letters that spell his name & knows it’s his name. He can count to 20 with help he misses a few numbers
Mine can count up to 20 but she can’t do conversations, she has a speech delay
Mine doesn’t either, goes up to about 4, knows other numbers but doesn’t remember them in an order. He has a speech delay so I’m not worried they will get there 🙂
