Placenta

So I was told at my 12 week scan that I have an ‘anterior placenta’ which means I probably wont feel movement from baby until 20-24 weeks. Has anyone else had/ has this? I’m not worried as I was told it’s quite common it’s just not the most common form of placenta. Just curious x

I got told this at my 12 week scan also x

It’s very normal to have an anterior placenta, I wouldn’t worry you just might feel movements later on, my bestfriend just had her baby with an anterior placenta and baby is absolutely healthy and she could feel her from 20 weeks 💕

I had an anterior placenta with my first baby and could feel him from 21 weeks x

I had it for my first baby and now again with this baby., I didn’t feel much with my first till 25 weeks and throughout the pregnancy I felt less than my prosterior as placenta cushioned baby. I was rather grateful for it as kicks can be shocking sore near the end

Did you have to ask about your placenta? I haven’t been told anything during my scan 😩

@Dominika, no, they just said that had an anterior placenta for me anyway x

@Elizabeth oh okay. I haven’t been told anything about my placenta so I’m going to have to wait till my next scan now

I had that with my second. Later on pregnancy as the placenta grew I couldn’t feel as much movement so had additional checks but all was good x

I had an anterior placenta with my first and sometimes depending on how he was positioned I felt less movement so had some extra checks. Even with an anterior placenta if you feel like reduced movements always get checked. :)

I had anterior with my first baby but I could feel loads so I think it depends!

I had this in my first pregnancy and it was disappointing as I was really looking forward to feeling movement. I think I was about 22 weeks when I felt my little girls first kick
