I got prescribed it for rib pain and the doctor said to just not take it too often and only when it’s really bad. It becomes more of an issue in the third trimester closer to birth because the baby could experience withdrawal
Yes it passes through the placenta and it's one of those where doctors have to weigh up the benefits. This should have been explained to you when it was prescribed x
