Do I have a Good eater.... Or is he over eating?

My son can eat a lot for a 2 year old ... Like he can eat a 10 piece nugget no problem along with a large amount of other things is that normal? Updated of how much he ate of that amount in comments

I think the photo makes the portion look bigger than what it actually is, so I’d say he’s not overeating he’s just a good eater! My boy can eat a lot too, but he’s become fussy with what he eats 🥲 he was born 9lb 6oz and is currently nearly 32lbs but he’s pretty thin as well

I’m not trying to be “that person” but you should definitely be cutting those hotdogs in half still. As far as amount he’s eating, some kids just eat more. As long as his doctor doesn’t express his weight as a concern I wouldn’t worry about it!

Bet the poo after that was intense 😂😂 that’s a lot of meat for a little guy and I’m assuming not great quality meat either? We only have canned hot dogs in the UK and they are 🤢 He has got a great appetite I wouldn’t worry :) mine goes in waves with growth spirts and how busy he’s been during the day

Actually not really he has a lot of trouble pooping so it's not as bad for him as you might think... I mean it's the US so of course it's crappy quality meat...

My 2 year old is the same, sometimes eats more than my husband, he is still normal on the growth curve. Don’t know where it goes 🤔

My son can literally like eat his weight in noodles when we go to a Chinese buffet. He even eats more than his 9yr old sister. And his plates were free 😂 bet they wish they would charge for his age 😂

Ya my 2.5 year old can demolish a 3-4 egg omelette noo problem! Lol youd be surprised what these little ones can eat some days

my son has always been 80-90th percentile for weight, he was 35lbs at a check up last week (2 years and 2 months old). yesterday he ate: 3 breakfast sausages, 2 eggs, and a piece of toast for breakfast, wasn’t too interested in lunch, but then ate about 1/3 of a large container of yogurt, a whole apple with peanut butter and grapes as a snack, and a big piece of bread and two bowls of spaghetti for dinner. he had some other snacks in between too. some days he only wants snacks, and some days he eats everything. I don’t think it’s a problem, our doctor has never said anything to us. I would just say that if they’re really hungry, try to offer variety and hit all the food groups.

My daughter has always been a good eater, will eat a very wide variety of foods too. Very thankful for that, however she has always been on the lean side like she is two and just now hit 70th percentile for the first time. It could be as simple as different metabolisms, activity levels, muscle mass which weighs more, etc. As long as the doctor is not concerned, the child is overall healthy and developing well. I wouldn't worry too much, be thankful you've got a growing boy!
