@Alina unfortunately, I did not choose this. It was handed to me in an envelope. I asked the doctor about delaying for an insurance policy pay out but she insisted on the date.
Ohh damn 🫤 how abt for before ?? Even if it’s 1/2 days u should try again
If not I guess it’ll just take some getting used to
If you want to, try to push for another day(granted that baby is healthy), because the drs can’t necessarily tell you what to do unless the baby’s health is at risk. The drs had scheduled a day for me to have my c section, but then I told them that I was only comfortable with a mostly female medical team, so they switched my c section date to a day where the staff was almost all women. The Dr who delivered my baby was a woman. I will say tho, I think your child might like having the same bday as their mommy! I know I would have, but everyone’s different ofc! Just try to make sure you clearly distinguish the bdays, have separate celebrations celebrating each person, and if you notice ppl forgetting your bday but remembering your child’s, then maybe throw a lil joke in there like “what am I? Chopped liver? My bday is ___ day too!! (Your child’s name) wouldn’t be here without me!”. That’s what I’d do! Good luck with the birth of your baby and I hope you have a speedy recovery!
Not the same but I share a birthday with my maternal grandfather. As a kid it was mostly all about me. As I get older we usually do something joint. It’s not really a big deal to me as the “child” but I’m not sure how it would be as the parent. I will say as I get older I almost never celebrate on my actual bday. I think you could still be able to do something adult on a different day to celebrate you.
Noo why don’t u choose a different day even if it’s close ?
