Hypoallergenic formula - advice welcome ♥️

Hi everyone, Our doctor advised we try prescription milk for our 17 week old daughter as she has been having a lot of CMPA symptoms (albeit on and off) and I have a question for anyone who has made this transition. She hasn’t seemed to reject the milk entirely, but the past 2 days she’s not really finished the bottles (sometimes leaving an oz or 2) and even turned a couple down completely. She was drinking 5 x 7oz bottles before this on regular formula. Is it cos she is just getting used to it and should I not worry, or is there anything you recommend? Thank you 🙏🏼♥️

My girl was put on aptamil pepti 1 due to the same issues. It can take up to 2 weeks for them to adjust to the new milk especially after such a long time on normal formula. After 2 weeks I noticed her symptoms had gone and she was so much better on it x

Took at least a week for our baby to drink more than 3oz at a time. He hated it. He didn't drink much to begin with though. Now he's up to 6oz but regularly leaves 1-2oz. Often babies with cmpa either over feed due to discomfort or refuse feeds so it could be they were over feeding before?

It can take up to 2 weeks for them to adjust. My little one is on Aptamil pepti 1 and it’s thinner than the normal formula so that could be affecting her too. Hopefully she will get used to it. You know her better than anyone else so if you think you need advice. Get advice. Do you have her weighed often? Is she still gaining weight? Xx

Same as you and same as above. I’ve had to change it to 6x 6oz bottles instead of 5x 7oz, on pepti 1 and he’s been the same 🙂

Thank you everyone ♥️
