We watched TikTok’s on it and found that really helpful! I was so scared at first thinking he was so delicate, a week later we were chucking him around! I was even scared to hold him in the first couple days. It’ll get better xx
I remember being soo scared of everything but you know what I’m 6 months in now and still going TikTok and mum friends literally saved me you are doing great keep going and things will get easier x
Thank you girlys💕 I think it’s a natural fear most mums have when you’ve never had a baby before I’m scared to even pick up my cousins baby at 2 weeks old and she told me the same thing that the first few days you’re scared to handle them yourself but you get used to it just like every other part of being a mum xx
They're really not that delicate at all. Newborns and babies are incredibly resilient. Take it from a pediatric nurse, firm pats are going to be your best friend when they won't settle. Lol
@MK I’m just a nervous as hell ftm😂 thank you! I’m even scared to pick baby up knowing you have to support their head 24/7, it worries me to death!
You get used to it pretty quickly especially as you very quickly realise that if you don’t do it enough/properly then baby ends up with trapped wind which makes them very uncomfortable 😅
They aren’t as delicate as you think. When nurses or doctors burp them it’ll look pretty hard but it’s totally normal and fine. You got to do it kind of hard to get it out.
