I honestly love what you did! 😂
@𝓛𝓮𝓷𝓪 ✨ thank you lol he thinks I should've made it a teaching moment & he's probably right but this feels good😅
Girlll why reward the bullies or bystanders don’t baby kids to believe any action is okay, you rewarded the right behavior. That’s what people should do, stand up and I bet those two kids felt nervous standing up so they deserved a treat you’re a good mom and person just keep thinking you’re a part of showing not just your child but others what’s the right thing
Yes!! I would have done the exact same you DID NOT do anything wrong. Bringing them something would be rewarding them for being a bully to someone.
@Heidi Thank you! I literally love those kids! I brought kimchi to school when I was little & people made fun of me so bad bc they said it stinks & I stopped bringing food. Even my "friends" at the time made fun so I was happy af when he said they stood up for him. & even happier that he still wants to bring food.
@Jessica my thoughts exactly
Girl did exactly what was needed
Bless u I love how youv dellt with this and yes it deffo starts at home, glad your son can be happy at school again too
But it WAS a teaching moment, FAAFO. Be kind and be rewarded, be a little shit and you’re left out. Honestly id be annoyed at hubby for sticking up for the little brats, why should they be rewarded for bullying your son? They should think twice next time.
lol I love this! I dealt with similar situation but within my own family (dad is white and mom is Chinese) and dad always insists mom’s Chinese food is stinky and gross and stinks the entire house. It was hurtful as a half-Asian kid who loved my mom’s cooking. I wish someone would’ve stood up for me like you did for your son!
You did right! You’re teaching him early not to buy friends and reward the ones who are there for him. F them kids lol
I think it was a teachable moment, be nice and people will be nice back. Be nasty and you don't get nice things. If you brought them stuff I don't believe it would have taught them anything. They are 7 not 3 so they know how to be nice.
Hell yeah! Is he too young for petty comebacks? I’m really feeling “you really think Korean BBQ and Mochi is the issue here or the tuna casserole your mama made you you velveeta cheese eatin yuck mouth” 😂
@Lauren came here to say this! OP, you taught the kids that stood up for your son that they are kind and did a good thing. You also taught them more about yours and your sons culture. You taught the kids that were mean to your son that kindness is stronger than hate, and them seeing and smelling all that incredible food probably introduced them to more of your culture also. I really like what you did, and your son knows you've got his back in a kind way, there was no bad words from you and no unkindness, you just came and shared your good food.

That was 10/10!! I hate bullies with a passion. Your son reacted perfectly, "No you said Korean food stinks remember" boom.
