Unsupportive COC

Hiya ladies is there anyone here who is in a dual serving couple who are based in different places with a young baby. me and partner are based in two different locations nearly 6 hours apart. I’m starting find it very difficult to even do my job properly with opportunities that keep coming up that I can’t do because his COC will not give my partner the time off. While I was on mat leave I was diagnosed with post natal depression and also never received any help from my partners COC apart him being able to spend a little more time up with me to help out. I pretty much spent the whole of mat leave on my own and now returning to work in finding it even harder to cope a little bit because after doing a full days work you do just want to sit for a little bit and chill out,I’m doing a full days work then coming home to look after my daughter all on my own. I know this is a little bit all over the place I’m looking for a bit of advice on how to have a career and also be a mum and is there any Avenue I could go down for us to be based a little closer to together.

Hey☺️ have you approached your unit welfare to discuss being posted closer to your partner ?

@Sarah I haven’t spoke to unit welfare because my regiment is all over the uk I did go to army welfare but they didn’t really help they just gave me coping mechanisms

You should have an assigned welfare unit still, can I ask which cap badge you are or if you would prefer to pm me that’s totally fine ☺️
