Nursery

So seems crazy to start looking at nursery's but with the 9 months funding alot of places fill up like a year in advance now. Is anyone also thinking about looking round and if so when ?

Mine was born in March 23 - but I started searching at 7 months pregnant and viewed the first at 8-9 months

It is definitely not too early, we registered our March 2025 baby about two months ago and the earliest our nursery could have them is April 2026

We have a toddler at nursery currently and they told us to register baby now because the wait list is 2 years long! Felt really odd registering them when they’re not here yet 🙈 I’d definitely ask any that you’re interested in, what their wait list is like x

Thank you so much girls will definitely start looking and getting them on wait list.

I would look asap. My daughter is 4 months old, we started looking a month or two ago and nowhere has spaces for next year…

i started looking and found out 4 out of 6 nurseries are already fully booked. 😅 and I’m looking for fulltime place when baby is 14 months which is april 2026

I’ve had a place secured for 2 months already. It was the last spot!

I reserved my Dec 2021 babies place in the Oct 2021 demand was that high 😅 I plan to ask for a place at the same nursery for this baby once I've set my return to work date and then it's one less thing to worry about x

We’ve been baffled by how full the nurseries are. Get registering as soon as you can! I’m 16 weeks and we have booked our baby in for March 2026! The soonest our first choice could do it September 2026!! It’s never too early these days

We’re visiting our top 2 shortlisted in a couple of weeks with an eye on a January 2026 start - one of the nurseries on our shortlist we’ve already had to scrap as they’re full until September! It’s a bit crazy how quickly you need to act

I’ve just booked a tour for a nursery, I’m due 27th March 2025, ready for a place in 2026 as I heard the wait times are crazy!
