Thank you all! Nervous mama over here. My son was born 34 weeks. He’s 10 weeks actual but 4 weeks corrected. If I did that right. 10 weeks minus 6 right ? He’s not smiling yet. He is making eye contact though. Should I be nervous?
He's 4 months now and smiles all the time
Every child is different I'd try not to compare and you should go off corrected age too x
@Laura thank you!
My son was born at 34+6 and I'd say we got more social smiles around 2½ months although we got the odd couple here and there before this I don't think you need to be nervous. Every baby is different and I'm sure he will smile lots soon, then you'll forget you ever had this worry 😊
@Lauren thanks so much 😊
@Mrs. T You're welcome 😊 I've learnt over time that everyone's babies will do things at different stages and all we can do as parents is keep encouraging those milestones until they achieve them. There's so much support out there though if needed or if you ever worry
@Lauren I know it’s so hard! Especially having a 3 year old at home that hit every milestone on time or before!
@Mrs. T I can imagine but try not to compare. Your little one may take a bit longer or less time with other things and that's ok 😊
