Baby picking up every cold

My son was born 2 months early. He is now 9 months old. He gets a cold which pretty much always turns into bronchiolitis, he will be get better and be ok for about 4/5 days then become unwell again. I am dressing him appropriately etc but it’s just relentless atm and I feel so sorry for him. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I know prem babies are more vulnerable but it’s just never ending

Who is around your baby? Does he leave the house frequently? Maybe the baby needs more isolation idk

I would try to limit his exposure to people as much as possible for a while. You don't get sick from the cold, but from virussen. And make sure people (including you) don't kiss him on the face, everyone who handles the baby washes their hands etc.

So sorry you and your little one are experiencing this 😔 we went through something similar when we first took our preemie home. We didn’t let anyone including ourselves kiss her, checked that people were well before visiting and asking people to wash/antibac their hands before holding her. She did grow out of colds turning into bronchiolitis after about 4/5 months so the fact that he’s still reacting badly to the colds might warrant a visit to the gp. We also found the health visitors really helpful with dealing with our concerns.Hope everything gets better soon xx
