We are just having a family day out for my 2 year olds birthday, last year we went to a farm park this year we booked a kids theme park place, my husband works weekends so just having a day out as a family of 4 is a special event in itself which sounds similar to you, at this age I don’t think it matters what you do they will enjoy whatever it’s lovely that you put her relationship with her dad 1st on their birthday xx
We’re taking our little one to the aquarium, and then build a bear as they do a bear for the age of the child xx
@Lauren I looked into the build a bear pay your age scheme and it turns out you can’t just choose any bear you want. It’s a specific birthday bear which is very annoying. I know a lot of people would be happy with this but for me it’s not fair that you can’t just pick what you/your kid wants.
@Chloe Yeah, sorry I should have said that in the post🙃 I understand it’s a bit annoying but we done it with our eldest and it’s just a little activity for a good price x
@Lauren oh yeh, I know you’re offering options to others, I’m just adding that piece of info incase people are interested. It’s put me off going tbh, that and our nearest store is now 17miles away 🥲
You live in Taunton - is the air museum still open? You could do that and then grab a pub lunch. Get a cake and do presents in the morning at home
We’re sort of in the same boat, but we are having a little family gathering at the weekend. I was thinking about taking my little one to the toddler session at the trampoline park which would be fun. But my little one loves going on dog walks and to the park so in all fairness we’ll probably do both on her birthday. So maybe you could just do something simple that she enjoys like park/soft play etc… just something fun. Maybe go to McDonald’s for a treat or have her fav food and watch a nice kids movie. Just spending time with her will be lovely in itself.
