Just close family and friends invited, doing a baby bear theme and before cake having meal then cut cake and photoshoot xx
We did a birthday party in a village hall. Balloons, food, cake, toys - it's not something I would do every year but we wanted to celebrate her 1st birthday
We just had a family lunch 😊
We are going big, doing it in India with extended family and friends as per my husband wish. We are hiring a hall out and maybe have a soft play area. We won't be doing it every year so want to make this one special.
We did a small one in our house with some close family.
We’re doing it big, got a venue, a bouncy castle and a soft play area I am very big on celebrating and I love birthdays to be special 💕
We were planning to have a big party with our oldest. We’d ordered all the props and soft play and sent out invites but then Covid hit and it was during isolation that she turned one so we had the props and soft play delivered to our flat and we did a photo shoot with her instead.
We are going all out. Hiring a venue and having soft play, bouncy castle and other various things! That overused theme of once around the sun 😂 with a rainbow balloon garland and matching cake and birthday outfit! We’ve already organised the event on Facebook and let everyone know the day it’ll happen to get an idea for catering it then! We also then plan to take her away the following week on holiday for a little family time! Her birthday is April and falls just before the Easter break. We plan to go big for all the firsts as we have wanted her for so long (as have the family) so any excuse to celebrate and we will.
We di an in-between. We wanted to go all out without having to spend thousands. So we did it at home with close family and friends. We narrowed the people we invited to who we really wanted to be there no extra people just because they had kids or because they were extended family. We made an arch balloon ourselves, a back drop, and many DIY decorations.. All the kids were between 10 months and 2 years so we did books as favours for the kiddos and biscuits for the adults. We got loads of food from Costco and Waitrose. We got the cake also from Costco. For the invites we got a digital invitation from Etsy so everything we did was super personalised. We also did a guest book and we had a Polaroid camera so they could take pictures and write a message for the baby to read when he's older. I can send you some pictures for inspiration
We didn’t quite sure how to plan our son’s first birthday but at that end of the day, it turned out good. We did a small gathering with just close family and friends. We also did a potluck style.
We rented a room at a community centre near my parents. Invited friends and family. I also knew some of the staff working so I told them to come up on break.
We just went to a wildlife park as a family, my mum came along too.
We are keeping it small. Immediate family only
We are going big but that just means it's not just immediate family and will be anyone we want to invite. I don't believe in people saying they're 1 you don't need to do anything. The first year is the biggest year. They will look back when they older and see how much their parents cared and did for them. We will be having a theme and backdrop and balloon garland etc. This is the only big birthday we plan to have in relation to decor and cost. I am although telling my husband to limit invite only people with kids unless it's close family which he doesn't have since our place isn't big enough and it's a winter birthday so everything will be indoors.
