This was me! I am usually so organised but was that laid back I was worrying everyone 😂. All we’d bought was pushchair, nappies and a few baby grows. My midwife told me to pack my bag at 30 weeks, I packed it 2 days before 😂
Let Santa sort it! Boxing day sales for the big things and put a bunch of the smaller things on your Christmas wish list to family/friends. That would be my plan.
Honestly I wish I bought less. You don’t need to buy so much. So much clothes were wasted. My baby didn’t even want to sleep in the crib or bassinet. And she grew so fast that diapers went unused and I already opened the pack. Tip: size up for clothes and don’t listen to the weight requirement for it and diapers. Pampers runs so small just buy Huggies and less blowouts with Huggies too. Like my baby fit 3-6 months at 2 months.
Also many things you can get for free like clothes and bassinets. Family memebers or friends can help you out or buy nothing Facebook groups
Just buy few clothes and buy more as your baby grows and size up
My hospital bag I didn’t even use most of it. I just used what the hospital gave and just used my charger, and going home outfit and hairbrush. I couldn’t even walk after birth so I couldn’t walk to my bag. Just bring a going home outfit for you and baby, charger, Gatorade since you get dehydrated after birth and they don’t let you eat sometimes, hairbrush, and a few snacks.
Already seeing all your comments makes me feel so much better! Like I know I’ll have what I need when I need it but for now … 🙄😂
I was exactly the same with my first Jan this year and I feel exactly the same with this one due a year later 🙈 I just keep thinking I have all the time in the world 🙃
I genuinely think when it comes to having a baby you can't be too laid back (within reason). Embrace it. My partner and I saved ourselves a lot of stress by being chill about baby sleep times, going with our instincts, and just going with the flow. It's a good approach, I think! You can get things as you need them xx
I’m the same as well. I’m pretty organised generally, I do have a list of things that we might buy but haven’t really started yet. I don’t think you actually need that much and if all else fails there’s always Amazon! I think we put too much pressure on ourselves really.
I'm usually a really anxious person but have also been way more chilled. I have bought some stuff but not out of feeling stressed.
We're renovating so we really don't have the space, money, or headspace for baby things at the moment. I have a few hand me downs but I'm hoping to wait until after the baby shower and see what we're missing mostly
@Alice we have a baby shower beginning of November and then with Black Friday and Xmas I keep thinking anything we need can be done then. And if we forget anything then prime when baby is here 😂
I'm the same! We have a pram/travel system but otherwise I'm waiting for the baby shower before I buy remaining necessities in the black friday sale, including nursery furniture! 😅

@Victoria Ah I'm at the end of January so I'm doing an early December baby shower so that people can make the most of Black Friday and then I still have Christmas and and January sales to top things up 😅
I’m exactly the same! I have everything planned to the Nth degree. When my baby was born I had the absolute bare minimum to keep them alive for a week. I would do the same thing again cos it’s saved us a fortune and means we’ve been able to buy stuff that we know the baby will like
