i had chronic migraines for years and years. they slowed down once i hit puberty, but still several a month. i tried every medication. phenergan was really the only thing that worked. pregnancy, didn't get a single one. 4 months pp and prob get a couple a week now. i have no answers for you as doctors haven't been able to give me any either. just to say im sorry and know exactly how terrible they are.
I have migraines. Was suggested magnesium and vitamin b12 for trying to help them from happening. The main thing is trying to switch up diet, routines, exercise, etc to see where the trigger is. I never get migraines after 1st trimester, but LORD that first trimester and hormone roller coaster kills me every time — my doctor said I believe Estrogen staves off the migraines in later trimesters. Hope that can help with something!
God love you, that’s grim. I get migraines - on the brink of one starting just now, and hoping it goes away as I have nothing to take for it. Apparently magnesium supplements can be good for migraine / though I’ve never tried it. May be worth looking into, and discussing with your doctor, particularly in terms of breastfeeding. Also - and I remember once finding some relief when pregnant, by doing this….. if you submerge your hands or feet (I can’t remember) in really cold water, it is thought to help migraine by causing constriction of blood vessels. I do remember it helping a bit.
