It gets better , and if it doesn’t definitely tell your doctor and they’ll tell you if you should wait or try something different , I had sex 2 weeks after giving birth I know “ it’s bad “ but my body felt ready and I felt fine just let your body tell you when it’s ready
@Evelia me too I was ready to have sex again and it didn’t feel the same but in a good way
Definitely gets better!! Especially once your cycle comes back and your hormones are helping you out again 😉
So impressed with the two weeks out ladies! I’m at 11 weeks and we’ve only tried once and it was definitely painful. I’m in pelvic floor PT to work on it… but I assume it will get better!
I tried yesterday it was definitely painful. This comment section gives me hope. I also have scaring down there after giving birth.
It took me 6 months to even try to have sex after a 4th degree tear. It was very uncomfortable and took past the 1 year mark to not be that way. I even mildly re-tore a few times.. What I wasn't expecting was for it to then feel BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE!! I'm talking orgasms like I've never orgasmed before type of better. Sex is incredible now! It may seem like it's taking a whole while for your body to get back to normalcy, but it will happen with time. If something feels wrong though, definitely tell your doctor. Sometimes people can have fissures after birth and not know for years, and it's not too rare for people to have been sewn too tightly. Keep an eye on your healing and follow your gut.
It gets better!
