Low blood sugar.

I had my glucose test today and the results came back with my sugar at 57. Has anyone else dealt with having low blood sugar? I felt absolutely horrible for hours after the test. Any advice is welcome.

I have my test on Thursday I’m really nervous about it. I just had a patient that failed the first test but passed the second one. Hopefully the next one goes better for you.

This was me on my 3 hour glucose test. I got all trembly and dizzy by the end and felt weird for the rest of the day. Just be sure to not skip meals, and eat foods with a low-glycemic index so your body doesn’t secrete too much insulin to compensate for it.

I’m trying to eat better leading up to it and I was planning on fasting the night before the test

I’m not able to take the glucose test because sugar triggers migraines for me so I’m having to poke my finger 4 times a day for 2 weeks

I’ve had hypoglycemia since I was 14. It definitely gets more wonky during my pregnancies. Small frequent snacks is helpful. Not junk snacks- more like granola, peanut butter and crackers, meat and cheese, an apple, etc every 2-3 hours.

I had mine last week and also had low blood sugar at 54. I asked my doctor about it but she didn’t seem concerned about it. She said it could’ve just been because it was early in the day. I did feel super tired and low energy that entire day but I felt better the next day. And I haven’t had any issues with low blood sugar before so she said as long as I don’t keep feeling sick I should be fine.

I take mines next week and I’m pretty nervous… I took the 1 hour at 12 weeks and failed miserably and my OB told me I had to see a specialist…. I do have to take pills twice a day and prick my finger 4 times a day but I don’t do it …. But this week I’m going to put them pills in my system soooo and stay away from sweets lol so I can pass come next week
