Medication and alcohol when TTC

Just curious on people’s thoughts about having things you wouldn’t when you’re pregnant in the TTC phase. I ovulated about a week ago so still about a week to see if I get a period or am luckily pregnant this time. I am not a big drinker but have a party on the weekend and so torn whether to have a couple of drinks or not. Obviously as soon as I knew I was pregnant I would happily give up all the risky things but in the meantime it feels like putting life on hold when maybe this isn’t the month. I had a similar mental debate a few weeks ago with cold and flu tablets so just very curious about others views.

Live! You have to!!! Just don’t go crazy & eat before

I wouldn’t risk it and I’d just ditch the alcohol

I’ve drank in my TTW before. Here’s what research states: high levels of alcohol consumption by women, defined as more than two drinks per day, should be avoided when attempting pregnancy. A couple of drinks on a one off occurrence shouldn’t effect the possible pregnancy

@Dominique I understand, but I feel like if it’s been a journey & months of negative tests. It’s important to still enjoy yourself & as long as you’re sensible and eat properly 1 max 2 on a special occasion should be okay I’d imagine xxx

I went away on holiday & didn’t drink at all as I was feeling the same but after getting negative tests after I just thought on an odd occasion sometimes you have to let yourself have one / two or becomes quite sad times and feel like you lose yourself a bit x
