I’d ask about ratios in that particular room as I wouldn’t want them basically taking on as many kids as they are allowed (ratios have gone up again and some opt not to take this on as they know it’s stretching staff) and day to day nursery life I.e what activities do the children do/have access to, what are meal times like, what platforms do they communicate with you on/ how do they give updates.
Ahhh thats so helpful. Thank you so much 😊
I work in a nursery and they should give you the majority of the information you need but it’s 100% worth having questions that you want to know. - do they provide nappies/wipes/creams like sudocrem/sun cream etc if so what brand do they use and if your ok to bring your own in if you aren’t happy with that they use - if any allergies or dietry requirements what are the procedures - how many children are allowed in the room at one time to how many staff. - if baby is still in formula how does it work - how you find out what they’ve eaten/slept etc if there’s an app - about the fees how much they are/when do they need to be payed/what deposit you need to pay/ any funding you may be entitled to how that works. - what you need to bring in for them in their nursery bag. - what meals they get are they fresh etc Feel free to message me and I can give you some more ideas/questions I have a list as long as my arm 🤣xx

Thank you so much @Jodie all noted ❤️
I’d ask about staff retention, having the same staff for the two years my eldest daughter has been at her nursery has been so lovely as she has a really special bond with them all.
What’s included Ratio Sickness policy Fees Sleeps Feeding back to parents Free hour entitlement
I mainly asked about food, sleep schedules, if they follow baby’s routine rather than a schedule they make, how they communicate with parents, tbh I forgot half the things I wanted to ask, so I ended up starting a list at home and then I’ll phone and ask and hope they don’t mind 😂
