We are going to do an offrenda this year since our family has lost some key members. We want him(baby) to know some of his amazing ancestors like my stepmom and my husband's father. 💙
Seasonal books, decorations, advent calendar, small gifts, church service, walks around the neighborhood, and the like. We are still building our traditions. I figure with a toddler our traditions will grow and change as the kid gets older and our family grows and changes.
Christmas Day we put wrapping paper on the doors and have the kids run through it. It’s so cute and fun!
i saw this on facebook but i’m adopting it into our traditions- on birthdays, each person (excluding birthday person) goes around and says 1 things they love about the birthday person or their favorite good memory about/with them. it makes birthdays so special & they’ll feel so loved 🥹 it’s not really holiday traditions though- sorry!
Decorations, watch Christmas movies while decorating Christmas tree, hang lights, make all the treats, open 1 gift on Christmas Eve, we always watched the polar express on Christmas Eve before bed, have a special family dinner either Christmas or Christmas Eve. Drive around and look at lights.
Family matching Xmas pajamas for sure! I did this with my boyfriend the last two years but it will be so much more fun and special doing it with baby and future kids every year! Also I’ve seen some families do like an advent calendar but they wrap books in Xmas wrapping paper and have the kids open one each day, they could be holiday books or just any books! As a kid my family always let us open one present one Christmas Eve which I will probably do with my kids too(:
They can choose a tree decoration each year that is the beginning of their very own collection X
Also every year we do a gingerbread house kit and cover it with sweets etc My Son loves doing it x
