Holding poo. Massive toilet anxiety.

I hope I’m not the only mum who struggles with their 3 year old holding on to there poo. She’s so scared to go all the time will do anything to hold it. Can be up to 10 days of her not going. I literally have to hold her on toilet with her screaming and crying. It’s horrible 😔 She is on laxidos but worried about long term use and if it will affect her. She hates the feeling of going for a poo. I need any advice please

My kid used to be like that with poo and pees we started to tell him like if you do pee/poo u will get a reward and after that got a bit better then we would use terms like let’s hear the rain fall or let’s hear the plop made it into a game

My son will still only go for a poo in his nappy, completely potty trained for wees no accidents but is scared of the toilet. He'll also hold his poo at nursery. Hoping it's just a phase before he goes reception next year xx

@Lauren same here, little girl is fine with wees on toilet and has been for months but poo is a no go. Nursery think shes holding it in so not sure what to do now 🫠

@Ashleigh hi lovely. We’ve done reward charts. I’ve literally done everything 😔 It’s horrible to see her in this state and what she gets like. I’m at a lose end. Really struggling x

@Naomi hi lovely. It’s horrid. I’m at a lose end and really don’t know what to do. We’ve been to doctors she’s in laxidos. I just don’t see her getting over it. It’s been like a year or so.. 😔 xx

@Lauren hi lovely. It’s horrid this has been a year or so now. She just hates the feeling of going 😔 xx

Aww that’s a shame when my son was like that the doctors said to me if it didn’t get better they were going to do like some sort of therapy on my son to try and get him to go to the toilet and that x

@Ashleigh we’re back to doctors in a couple of weeks, keeping a poo diary. I’ve started playing a game aiming for the tissue. She doesn’t tell me when she needs to go, I know the signs as what she does. The screaming, the crying, the up and down on toilet where it needs to come out but she is doing everything to hold. Hoping the doctors can help. As where she’s that full she won’t eat 😢 I just can’t get over the hospital discharging her.. xx

When your back at the doctors maybe best asking if you can get extra help to try get your kid to go to the toilet as she’s got a fear of it and it’s so painful hearing the kid screaming and crying I’ve been thro it all with my son and that’s shocking that the hospital discharged her x
