Hi! What were everyone's experiences at Broadlands birthing centre? What is the parking like there?

Parking great! But think they just do appointments there now. I went for my diabetes test in November last year & they weren’t doing any births there because of staff cuts and the risk of getting their patients to Princess Anne for medical support if needed. X
I work at PAH, broadlands is our stand alone midwifery led birthing unit at the princess Anne hospital. You might be thinking of the new forest birth centre which isn’t open for labourers due to staffing and covid x
I’ve given birth on broadlands twice and both times were great, second time especially! However, I was only there for 1.5h with my first and 45 minutes with my second so not sure if I would’ve felt different if I was labouring on the ward for longer. The after care was not as great though, but it would’ve been the same even if I gave birth on the labour ward. Parking was ok both times we were there to give birth (same for all of Princess Anne) but has been full when we went for scans. Feel free to message if you’ve got any questions
