Daycare tuition

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew of any daycares near downtown Orlando or winter park that offer scholarships or are income based. I’m a single mom of a 2.5 year old. Daycare tuition is just as much as my rent that I’m already struggling to pay on my own. I don’t qualify for the head start program for 4c apparently. Any suggestions would be helpful. 🫶🏻

^^ thats how. But i was told to do it only after i picked the daycare and im good to go (no waitlist) and he can be enroll

Bevause once you are doing the application it will ask for the daycare you are taking ur baby to

@Stephanie I just keep getting something that says I don’t qualify in my area because I don’t make less than $22k a year. But then it asks if I have a written form from a provider . Is that what I wait to do? The link commented , I click on it and it says the waitlist is closed

@Kate something isn’t right. Are you just applying for head start or are you applying for the school readiness program? I make more than $22k and have a 2.5yr old and I qualify.

@Jennifer I just get something saying I don’t qualify from what I’ve put (which is just that I make more than that first amount, then it asks if I make less than $36k or whatever and I say yes) I’ve found that the only way it says I may qualify is if I say yes to the option of having a “Child Care Application and Authorization Form” and I’m not exactly sure what that is or how to get it

@Kate I don’t think I had anything prior to being approved. I didn’t even have a childcare lined up yet.

@Kate are you using this site? https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com/Account/LogOn

@Jennifer yes, the exact message I get from that site is “Based on what you told us, your household may not be eligible to get help in paying for child care services. If this result does not seem accurate or you would like more information on other early learning options or community services contact your local early learning coalition to speak with a childcare resource and referral specialist.” But I’m not sure who to speak to
