I live in Outwood and went on mat leave at 38 weeks. People had told me much sooner to check nurseries but I just didn’t. Anyway rang the 3 most local ones (within 5 miles) that I liked and only 1 of the 3 had the days I needed. And we only need 3/5 days a week. So yes have a look when you can just so the choice is yours and you’re not left to a nursery by default of availability xx
Thank you. We secured one in the end which is good! It wasn’t free until March 2026 though! 😬 I only heard that there was a shortage of places from word of mouth. Hope you get sorted too xx
Mine also said this but when I rang the one I wanted (little acorns in knottingley) they said to wait til after she was born. We’re going in an hour to visit it and hopefully sign up. They said they were fully booked til next March and she’ll be starting in April so good timing. Once you find somewhere just ring them and ask and they’ll let you know x
