Is '6 months' 6 months or 24 weeks

Maybe a silly question! I just know you're supposed to do weeks until 6 months and months after that? So at what point is my baby 6 months 😂. If you plan to start solids at 6 months would you do 24 weeks or 6 months???

I stopped counting in weeks when baby was 3 months old. I’d say 6 months is 6 months by date

I don’t know if I have the answer to the weeks vs months question but for the purpose of starting solids I would look at the signs of readiness above all - able to sit, support their head, reach and grab 😊 with my first I started at about 5.5 months by date just because we were going on holiday at 6 months and I wanted to establish things at home first and he was ready x

@Anna yeah I completely agree, it's just if my baby is ready before 6 months I still want to wait for the 6 months date so I can reach my milestone of 6 months solely breastfeeding 😅 I know it's a bit silly but it's been a tough journey and I'm excited and proud and it's important to me

Ahh that’s totally fair, in that case do whatever you feel makes sense to you. Well done mama 🥰

@Anna thank you xx

6 months by date. There's 26 weeks in 6 months as there's slightly more than 4 weeks in a month x
