Wishaw Elective C Section Date

Hi everyone! I’m opting for an elective c section and currently 37 weeks pregnant. I’ve filled out the necessary paperwork and met the consultant already but wondering roughly when did you receive a date for your section and was it by phone call?

Hi I received my date two weeks before I had the section, I received a letter x

@Susan that’s good to know! I just spoke with my midwife and she said it’s likely I won’t find out until a few days before, which I hope isn’t the case!

Oh no really, that’s so last min which in my case would really stress me out 🥲 my partner works away so not sure if that’s why we got the letter so he had enough time to get home from Africa. Wish you all the best and hope you get your date soon xx

I got a phone call exactly 2 weeks before saying when to go in and what time

Thank you so much to you both for getting back to me! I’m really hoping I’ll hear soon. Can I just ask when it was that you had your c sections and were they elective? I’m just wondering if they’ve perhaps changed the process… or if it’s because mine is purely elective.

Yeah, mine was elective and was meant to be in April! My little boy had other ideas though and I went in to labour early (in March) and I still had a c-section but it just turned in to an emergency one instead. I hope you hear from them soon!
