Toddler unwell -

Hey my toddler has been unwell and we’ve been in hospital he was diagnosed with bronchitis and given some oral steroids and 10 puffs of inhaler, he seems marginally better but still wheezy especially if he gets himself in a tis if crying etc so I’m trying not to let that happen and try to help him limit the things he’s doing but that’s easier said than done! Rest I know is good, do danger naps exist when a toddler is unwell? He woke up at 10am today as he didn’t go to bed properly until 1:40am! 😱 so has had a later nap today too. Plenty of rest and fluids the doctor said, any other tips? I’m hoping he has a speedy recovery as I’ve just started a new job and I’m off already, plus we have some lovely plans coming up! (Of course his heath is the most important) Xx Thanks in advance

We've been going thru something similar where my LO has had a bad cough on and off for the last 3 weeks. We've been prescribed antibiotics. Fluids, rest and I've also been rubbing some baby vicks/snuffle baby on his chest/back. Also been using the calpol plug for the night. Hot baths have also been great.

Hey Kayleigh, bless you and your little one. My son had the same thing a few months ago and was not nice seeing him so poorly. I hope your little boy makes a speedy recovery. I've always let my son sleep as much as he needs to when he is ill. As like any illness you need to rest to recover. So I have personally always thrown naps out the window and gone with the flow when my son has been really ill. Just made sure he took on plenty of fluids. I hope this helps xx
