Baby feeds (9 months old)

How many bottles is your 9 month old baby’s having? My little girl will be 9 months next week. My lg has 3 and I feel she’s slowly dropping her midday bottle but I feel she is too young to drop down to only 2 bottles a day at wake up and bedtime? Most nights she wakes for a bottle at 3 but not always.

My boy is on 4, 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm. Don’t think he is going to drop a feed very soon as he finishes them all! I would say I saw a health visitor last week and she said as long as baby is having 17.5 ounces of milk a day then that is fine. If your girl is having that within 2 feeds I suppose that’s fine? X

I offer 6oz a time but she doesn’t always finish it and will push it away once she’s had enough. For example today she had 6oz at 3am, 5oz at 8:30 and offered 6oz at 2:30 which she had a couple mouthfuls she refused. She had 3 meals a day and had a really good appetite (apart from not deciding she doesn’t like porridge)

It could be down to teething or lots of other different things! I think as long as her milk intake is enough then the timings shouldn’t technically matter, if you wanted to try and have her drink more in the day you can always offer her an ounce or two less in the night and see if she wants to make up for it in the day time? X

I didn’t really think of teething could be a factor! She uses mam size 3 teats I didn’t know if sizing up would her and she was bored of sucking on a size 3. I’m not concerned as she’s a very happy and content healthy baby. I just thought she should be having at least 3 bottles a day still.

We offer 5 bottles still but she is def drinking less.. anywhere from 20-28 oz now.
