Potty training

Has anybody introduced pants and toddler doesn't say when they need to go as much/ if even now. Absolutely no issues when naked, but pretty much have to force them to sit down and bribe with all sorts. Only first day of pants but do things just gradually click and they'll announce they need to go like the bare bum days? Thanks all. Can't wait until he confident and can relax. Never been on such high alert. Thank god for 6.30 bedtimes at the mo.

We’re 4 weeks in and the pants have now gone on (following Jamie Glowacki method loosely). There’s definitely a change in going to the toilet freely and then learning to go when you need to empty your bladder. My son needs reminding more at the moment but the accidents are still few and far between. Also found a reel on instagram about a ‘surprise wee’ where you ask your toddler to see if there is a surprise wee when they go and sit on the potty/toilet, this is working well for us. It sounds like you’re doing a great job

It'll take a few days and a few weeks of accidents. Just say oops you had an accident, let's change you. Next time you can go on the potty...on repeat. And do lots of washing!

Thank you both 👏🏼 Only day 3, he's done absolutely amazing. I feel more on edge about it than anybody and I don't know why. Just the one accident today (in the house) and managed two outings. Got to keep patient, and I like the idea of the surprise wee! Going to try that tomorrow x
