Meals / snacks for travel

Hey guys, how have you taken veg/fruit/snacks for travel? Can I make things like banana pancakes for example? Will that hold long? What about sandwiches? Also, do you pre cut the fruit? I don’t have any ice packs, do you think it’s a must. Thank you

Fruit: We precut strawberries, grapes and then sort of fruits. We don’t pre-cut bananas or kiwis though as find they don’t do well with get tossed round in a bag 😅I pre-cut all vegetables and pop both of them in little pots with sealable lids. I definitely think u could pre-make stuff like pancakes if they hold out well with being cold. Sandwiches are always a good option too as they do well sitting in lunch boxes. Just make sure u wrap it tinfoil or clingfilm so it doesn’t fall apart. I would definitely get some ice packs though as they are great at keeping sandwiches and yoghurts cold. I mean it all depends on how long you are travelling for and when the food is likely to be eaten to what you bring. The yoghurt pouches that don’t need to be kept cold are excellent for travelling. Hope that helps and isn’t to confusing x

Pinwheels or little egg muffins are good for travel as they hold their shape better. Or if we are being lazy we take croissants instead! For travel we would generally take a banana whole and if putting fruit in pots take stuff like raspberries or blueberries, or cut orange segments into pieces. Sometimes carrot batons but being honest if we are out for the day or travelling, I just take the easy win of packing what I know will get eaten. No need to make the day harder!

Can't recommend this highly enough, Munchkin Bento Lunch Box it's got a silicone insert to stop things leaking into other sections, and holds a fork and spoon. Also got an insulated lunch bag to keep it cool and hold her drink with it too.
