You can get various products that pharmacist can advise on. My child's been ill for nearly 2 weeks unfortunately it's actually a ear infection and cold at the same time poor child.
@Daisy it’s really not up to you to decide that this person is wasting a GP’s time. If she felt her baby needed a GP and they gave her an appointment it’s not wasted time then isn’t it?
It’s just that it’s been a month now but thank you I will turn to the pharmacy
@Sophie thank you, I hope you’re baby gets better as well xx
Hi hun! We are going through the same thing and I’m glad you went to the GP! Its better safe than sorry. We went to urgent care in our area as my son (13 mos) had difficulty breathing, he wasnt improving with the nebuliser alone and they then rushed us to A&E once they gave him the nebuliser with Salbutamol and some steroids it really helped him. Hes got a lingering cough and they said with kids it usually lingers for around 8 weeks unfortunately. Wishing both you and baby a speedy recovery. Its really hard to care for baby when you’re ill yourself, so be sure to take care of yourself as well! x
A month is a very long time for a baby who is only three months old. I’d personally ask for a second opinion at the surgery, especially if your baby isn’t getting better. Ignore the first comment too, you’re not wasting anyone’s time by looking after your baby.
@Noon hi thank you so much for the message. That’s good that you took action. I hope bubba is okay now. Xx
@Aggs thank you so much I will do more research and see another professional. 🫶🏽
It’s definitely not a waste of time to go to the GP! My boy had a sore throat that lasted 3 days and was not improving - cough too and they checked his throat and it was infected and required antibiotics! Please don’t feel bad using your GP service when you are worried. X
@Rebecca thank so much ! I was also thinking of requesting antibiotics I will mention it. xx
Please don’t waste a GP time I’ve a sore throat again unless something worse, they are in their knees a pharmacy can offer support with generally being unwell, it’s building their immune system, when ten go to nursey and school it will be exactly the same
