Clothing sizes!

With our son we never got any newborn, just 0 - 3 (and he outgrew those quickly). This time we have a handful of newborn and then larger sizes (as this baby girl doesn't appear to be as big as he was) x

I've got newborn, 0-3 and then a few sizes up xx

I’ve bought a relatively small selection of newborn, and then majority of the clothes I’ve bought are 0-3 months. I’ve also bought 1 tiny baby outfit just in case. Highly suggest taking a look around the charity shops though! I’ve saved myself a fortune and still picked up some super cute bits.

Bought mostly 0-3 months and couple of 0-1 months as bubba measured a little small at 20 weeks. I have bought almost exclusively from vinted and so glad I did!

Newborn never fit our first, he was in 0-1 for a week or 2, then into 0-3 for about 3/4 weeks. Be aware too that different shops have different fit so where you buy from will make a difference. We always treated anything from Primark as a full size smaller, Next about half a size smaller etc.

Vinted is amazing! I’ve brought a bunch on there.

Also, I would say to stock up on tiny baby clothes. My friend had a 7lb+ baby and he didn’t quite fit in newborn/ up to 1 month/ 0-3 months and she had to run out and get tiny baby clothes last minute.

My first ended up being in up to 1 month (10/11lbs) for around 4 weeks and in those 4 weeks she lived in baby grows and vests so personally found needed lots of this size followed by 0-3 which were too big at first. I think we had 1 pack of newborn baby grows and vests just in case but didn’t use them.

I’d say a mix. My daughter was born 50th centile for weight and was in newborn/ tiny baby for a month and then into 0-3M

I always liked H&M because their sizes are split a bit more and always felt more roomy. I found brands like Primark & Next really small and she was only in this newborn for about 1-2 weeks x

I would suggest a selection of all 3. It’s always good to be prepared for any eventuality and midwife measurements are not 100% ( we were told our little one was going to come out at 7lb 2 and came out 9lb 4 😂). Highly suggest second hand stuff and charity shops as they grow out of everything in what feels like seconds and just leak through 😂

Couple of newborn then 0-1 and mainly 0-3

With my first baby I assumed he’d be in mostly 0-3 but we did use the newborn size for a couple of weeks in the end. Given that we had to change his entire outfit several times a day it was useful to have quite a few but most were second hand, you can pick up for next to nothing on Vinted or Facebook
