They were good and the pouches were handy as you can just put it on a spoon. Then, whene they're older they can then just suck from it. It did help ours learn to suck! I did a mixture of purée and baby lead. But stuck with baby lead as he didn't take to purées. We started at 6 months and ended up having to give weaning and break as he just didn't want anything (complete refusal of stuff). Think he just wasn't ready yet, so waited until he was grabbing and taking an interest with food. Then stuck with baby lead.
Mine was the same as Hannah’s. Just was not interested so I took a break for a couple weeks and started again. TBH he didn’t really take to it properly until he could do it all himself. But by 9 months he had dropped all day bottles and was on 3 meals a day plus snacks and only bedtime bottle. Best tip….be patient and don’t expect miracles over night. You got this!
I've used ella pouches. They're great the single veg and fruit pouches. Because they are just fruit or veg. I think some have citric acid. I give about half a pouch in a bowel and give my baby the spoon. She loves is. I make my own too as there aren't a lot of vegetable purees.
We used a mix of Ella's kitchen and own brand pouches. My LB enjoyed most of them then around 7/8 months we moved more onto BLW and then he wouldn't touch a pouch 🤣
Take a look at baby led weaning, I did a mixture of this with a little purées and honestly it was the best thing. X
