How do people feel about close friends not wishing your kids a happy birthday?

It's hit or miss if they even remember MY birthday so it's not shocking if they don't know my son's. Also I don't expect them to know if they don't have kids themselves as they don't grasp the significance

My friends don’t even remember my birthday anymore! I havnt a clue when their kids birthdays are except two share the same day. Life gets busy. I have trouble remembering my own age.

Umm.. I think the ladies overlooked a key bit of information; you posted about his birthday on your stories - so they saw & chose NOT to wish him a happy birthday. A friend did that to me too & your feelings are totally valid, especially if you're close to them. No excuse if they saw. Now if they didn't see your stories then I would agree with the ladies above.

I’d be “o hmmm” but I can understand it. People are busy and a date can slip your mind so ok fine however if you posted and you know they saw it then yeah I’d be annoyed. What’s the excuse then? It takes 2 seconds to add a comment to a post or story. Then only a few seconds longer to write an actual text. I’d be noting it and slightly distancing from them abit. If I’m important to you then you know what’s important to me and that’s wishing my child a happy birthday or atleast acknowledging it some way.

@Sudanny✨ yeah, like I even put a story up thanking everybody who did wish him a happy birthday, they saw and didn’t say anything but have messaged me this morning about something else 😂 I think if they didn’t see my story I wouldn’t be as bothered but come on.

@Heather I am trying to play devils advocate but exactly this, because they don’t have kids I’m trying to pass it off as something they don’t see significance in but 🤷🏻‍♀️ it is what it is. I am still annoyed and it does show how little they are bothered
