Please don’t force cows milk. Some babies/toddlers just don’t take to it. My boy didn’t and it’s not a big issue. There’s many other sources of calcium they can have, if that’s your reason for putting him in cows milk. Plus if you’re still breastfeeding he’s still getting all he needs from you 🙂 When my boy has a new tooth coming through he tends to go off foods due to his gums hurting so I tend to go back to easy foods so I know he’s still getting a decent meal in his tummy. So it could be that.
I am breastfeeding and giving cows milk both, cow only twice a day sometimes once, what I have observed he takes milk easily but not solids, so at bed time if he hasn’t been full through solids, I offer cows milk so he may get full through the night, I mentioned at his 11 month checkup about the milk and never heard that it shouldn’t be offered.
How many solid/food meals does he have in the day. Do you offer milk first or solids first?
Oh My response means just don’t pressure him to have the cows milk if he’s really not taking a liking to it. Honestly it’s not a massive issue if our babies don’t end up drink cows milk. If my breastmilk didn’t dry up I’d still be doing it now. I stopped at 12 months. My boy is 14 months now. Currently drink toddler milk (formula) for bed but I will be stopping that soon x
Why are you forcing him? Was it advised by a doctor to start cow’s milk? are you trying to feed him solid food yourself or does he self feed?
