Pembury Hospital

Hello! I’m still quite early in my pregnancy (6 weeks) and deciding on where to have my maternity care. Pembury is our closest hospital however I had a really bad experience with the hospital with an other medical issue last year (completely separate to maternity/gynae) and my trust is slightly limited. Can anyone give any feedback on their maternity care at Pembury? Also if you had consultant led/C-sections how was your experience as this is most likely with me as I had a high risk first pregnancy. Thank you! X

I had a terrible experience at Pembury with my birth (doctor strikes so barely any staff) so I won’t be going there again. I would choose East Surrey as they’re supposed to have a really good maternity unit

I had a great experience with pembury. Although my birth didn’t go as I hoped, ( was still able to deliver vaginally) the midwives and doctors were seriously great. They went above and beyond to make sure me and little one were okay, and nothing was too much of an ask for them x

I had a good experience, had c-section in May. Both my sisters also had a good experience (one c-section and one natural). The privacy of your own room/shower is great compared to other hospitals. The only negative for me was the breastfeeding nurse.

I had a great experience with a planned csection in Feb

I had a really bad experience at Pembury, as a first time mum I was really disappointed with their care 😢
