Weaning baby onto solids

My Little one will be turning 6 months soon and I still confused and have no idea where to start on the solid food weaning journey? Are there any resources and help? I’ve tried to look on my local family wellbeing centres and there’s not a lot there. Thank you!

I got this from my health visitor For information about introducing solid foods to babies, please click on the link below: https://www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/weaning/

@SophieThank you!

When we started I did one food for 3 days, just to check for any reactions or anything. So I started with like carrot only for a few days and then once I saw he was fine with that then onto the next and so on! From there you can kinda just build up foods you know are fine for baby to have and make little meals up from there. I’m an over worryer though 😂

Solid Starts is a great resource. Their database is free on their app and tells you how to safely prepare any food based on age. There’s no need to wait 3 days in between introducing new foods. Just introduce the main allergens separately.

I used Solid Starts and also bought the Ella’s Kitchen book off Amazon! These were both great for advice and recipe ideas x
