You can’t force them to eat, what does your husband think he’s going to do, pin him down and put down his throat!??? My LG is always up and down, sometimes will eat 3 full meals plus tonnes of snacks in a day, then will suddenly only have a couple of bites in a go 🤷🏼♀️ There’s nothing you can do to force it, just keep offering and if he’s hungry he’ll eat x
Forcing them to eat will make their relationship with food a battle going forward. My LG has recently been in hospital with RSV and completely lost her appetite. The Dr said little and often with feeds to work her energy back up. We just make food and pop it down near her so she can pick at it when she wants to on her own terms. Is it a battle? Yes but I’d rather it be this way than force feeding her.
Mines the same, since his cold he has been extremely picky… will only eat bread and rarely anything else
@Heidi yh exactly I don't know what he thinks. His argument is "he doesn't know what he wants and it's our responsibility" my nan was similar with me as I hardly ate and it drove my mum insane so I'm more sympathetic and easy with it but the fact he's pinning it on me rather then looking into reasons why is hurting because I can't help it x
If they're getting over illness they don't really want to eat much anyway. My husband has kinda the same opinion. It's frustrating. He isn't eating much lately anyway, is still getting over an illness and I think he's just over his sleep regression. Toddlers can live off literally nothing it's crazy. Let it be his responsibility for afew days, he'll soon change his mind when he realises they don't want it even more!
My lil boy is always up and down with food. My boy loves lil and often recently which is annoying, but it's basically a meal spread out. I agree with u being patient coz i wouldn't like to be made to eat xxx
