Need advice please help

I receive wic but since my baby is 7 months they lowered the amount of formula she could get each month so now I’m at only 7 cans each month and she runs through them half way into the month , I’m a busy mom in the morning as I do nails full time until my boyfriend gets home , I try to give her purées when I can but I feel horrible for being inconsistent due to me not being able to feed them to her everyday … I want to give her solid foods but she does not have any teeth yet can any mom please give me advice on what I should try to do wether it be w the puree or solid food 🥹 her formula doesn’t last me a whole month and I really hate to spend sm money on formula when she should be starting on purées already

Well that wasn’t no solution just a backhand response ^

Try the “ baby feeder “ on Amazon. You can put the purées in it and baby girl can feed herself. There’s also types like ice cubes tray that lets you freeze sum for the following day etc

I’m also struggling with being consistent with introducing solids & purées

@Nee if your not earning money how does ur child get their food 😭 I never said making money was a priority , but without money how can u take care of a child ? Oh ok

@Sorayda tysmmmm

What brand of formula does you baby take , some formula brands have rewards programs that you earn points by buying there formula. I know pampers have one . I get coupons from them. Have you reached out to food pantries in your area some of them carry formula.

I feel you! We’re in the same boat with benefits not lasting like they used to. I’ve had to purchase formula to last the second half of the month. My pediatrician said the store brands are the same as the name brand so I suggest going that route if funds are tight. Also, cooked veggies are good for babies with no teeth to chew. Anything they can mash with their gums are great.

We got the little mesh net things to put soft solid food in and my baby loves them! It gives me more peice of mind about choking and she is learning to self feed. She does like to throw them so I use a pacifier clip to help keep them off the ground ❤️ My baby is only breastfed so I don't have to worry about the price of formula, but the solids have been stressing us out also. Your not alone, and your doing a great job, it will get easier every day! I also get WIC and the baby oatmeal/rice cereal is a good base to add other foods to mashed up and is a great source of iron.
