Lift Off/Landing

Travelling to Amsterdam soon with my babies who will be 24 months and 9 months and my husband. Is it possible to feed baby during lift off/landing to help with the popping? Also, what can I give to my toddler to help him? He doesn’t use a dummy anymore (weaned himself off just after turning 1) and don’t want to reintroduce it

We just took our 5 month old and and 3 year old away and I fed our youngest on take of and landing and got our eldest to take sips of his water bottle each time it really helped xx

@Abbie aww hope you enjoyed your holiday! Thank you for the tips

We expected issues but didn’t have any. (18-24m) We offered him water going up and down and said swallowing would help his ears if they were hurting. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Flew couple weeks ago to France with my 2 1/2 month one. Tried to time her feed with take off. We were 20min late so couldn't hold off any longer. Fed her hoping we'd go off in that time but she fell asleep and slept through take off, flight and landing. She was also wearing her alpine muffy headphones thingy. Not sure if that helped with the ears (it's meant to). Fingers crossed my return this week is the same! Have a great holiday x

Never had any issues with my toddlers ears and she’s been flying every month since she was 8 weeks. Just any suction; a drink, some food. It’s inner ear pressure so ear protectors do nothing for that, same as our ears still pop wearing headphones.

@Cal ooo that’s reassuring and good to know! Thank you xx

@Katya ooo amazing! Sounds like she was a dream. Hopefully that helped to have a smooth flight. Thank you for the reminder. We have a noise defender which I believe can also be used for flights so will also pack that - fingers crossed. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and hope your return trip is just as smooth sailing too xx
