I have been using my kindle since my son was born. So while he is feeding ill read and once he is done I might put him in his cot with the baby Einstein mobile and go and do what I need to do and if not then I attach him to me in the carrier. But now he's older I just put him on the mat to play or his chair so I can do all the house work or whatever needs doing and I might get about an hour reading done and if not I carry him around and use my kindle to read
@Audrey @Elizabeth Aneiros I might charge my kindle then and see if that helps me, once she’s down to sleep i can’t move as we share the bed so that might just be my best chance :)
I read SO much when my little boy contact napped! My kindle made it way easier x
@Elizabeth I hope it helps you, good luck 😊
I’m pretty impressed by mums reading or pretty much doing anything with a little bubba. I rarely got housework done whilst my baby was awake and didn’t have the brain power to read much. My boy is now nearly 2 and I’ve got back into the swing of finding time and mental energy to read over the last year. Easy audiobooks definitely saved me on walks though
I’ve only been using the kindle since he’s been here. We are in full contact nap mode still so that’s my time to read. Also it’s nice to read whilst I’m feeding him before bed. Helps me unwind too x
Up until LO was 1 yo I used audiobooks. But, I didn't start until she was about 6 months old with more consistency. I'll listen to the audiobooks during her naps when i clean etc, or when pushing her in her pram :) only recently, I started reading books before bed again. But, I can definitely see apps on the phone, I use kobo, would be useful if you have your phone near by! My baby just didn't feed for long and needed to burped and held upright after to prevent horrific colic.
Another vote for kindle here 😊 I also love that you can immediately download the next book in a series as soon as you've finished it. I've noticed my 9 month old is less likely to grab my kindle than my phone if she notices me using it too
I love my kindle, personally! I can read with one hand only and even in the dark. It's amazing!
