I wouldn’t pay attention to it. 2)3! My daughter is messing around I ask her if she’s finished 9/10 she’ll say no and start eating, she’ll pass me her plate when she’s finished and I ask that. If she’s playing around with cutlery I ask her if she wants mummy’s and then swap mine with her which she loves and then she starts eating properly again
I’d go with the ‘pay no attention to it’ approach and hope she gets bored of it after receiving no reaction from you! Does she snack lots during the afternoons? Could it be that she’s not as hungry to sit and eat a full meal? Could you try limiting afternoon snacks or moving dinner a little later to see if that makes a difference? x
@Jasmine her appetite and what she eats seems to change daily, some days you can’t feed her enough and others she doesn’t want much. I tend to not let her snack in the afternoons after 4 anyway and dinner is usually between 6 and 6:30 when we get home from work
I feel like you either need to ignore/pay very little attention to it, or give the firmest no you can muster without raising your voice too much 😂 I did the latter the other month with my son's cup/cutlery throwing and after a year of the behaviour, something finally clicked and he hasn't really done it since and seems to actually be prepared to listen more when I say no to things 😱
